FormFill is a local-first Chrome extension. It does not operate a cloud backend and does not sell or share user data with third parties.

Information processed

To detect and fill forms, FormFill processes form field metadata such as labels, names, input types, and values on webpages where the extension is available. This processing occurs locally in the browser.

Local storage

Settings, mappings, fictional profiles, and user-saved non-sensitive form values are stored locally using Chrome's storage.local API. Saved data remains on the user's device until the user deletes it or clears extension data.

Sensitive fields

FormFill excludes passwords, payment fields, CAPTCHAs, one-time passwords, government identifiers, and other fields classified as sensitive from its fill and save features.

Data sharing and advertising

FormFill does not transmit user data to a remote server, sell user data, share user data with third parties, or use user data for advertising.

User control

FormFill never submits forms automatically. Users choose when to fill, save, import, export, or delete local data.
